Colombia heeft al jarenlang een zeer slechte reputatie op het gebied van mensenrechten. Vakbondsactivisten worden op grote schaal geïntimideerd en vermoord. Inheemse bevolkingsgroepen worden van hun land verjaagd om plaats te maken voor economische ‘ontwikkeling’.
